I am excited to share my feedback about MC UTH Gavel Club New Zealand. This club has significantly helped my two children build up confidence and develop leadership skills over 5 years. By speaking weekly and taking on different roles, their abilities have gradually improved. As parents, we especially noticed their progress in impromptu speaking and table topics. "My son was the first President of the MC UTH Gavel Club in 2017 though for a very brief period due to change of schools. In that short timeframe, I believe he experienced group participation and basic leadership development which is an essential prerequisite for any young individual. I joined Gavel club when I was 12 years old and it was a great experience. It helped me grow in my confidence and built invaluable communication skills. I learned how to speak clearly and present with purpose, all in a really supportive and encouraging environment. It’s also taught me leadership skills and how to give and receive feedback constructively. Super grateful for the experience and the people who make it what it is!

As a parent who watched my son 14yr old Christian attend Gavel Club ( organised and run by Warren Christie at Manukau City Baptist Church)
Christian gradually built his confidence, skill and ability to address audiences & deliver a message and his insights on given subjects or topics eg school assembly, youth groups & activities & consistently format & arrange his thoughts by articulating his messages & ideas growing in the skill of being a diligent , accurate, persuasive communicator.
As a parent I watched Christian and fellow friends develop and build there communication skills through persuasive discussions.
Warren was such an instrumental role model to have the insight to craft & develop teenagers with a skill set that would promote the art of communication to different audiences through different topics.

As a parent, I’ve seen a wonderful change in my son, Sai Achyuth. He is much more confident, expressive, and enthusiastic about speaking. I’m really grateful for the constant guidance, encouragement, and platform the Gavel Club provides.
Participating in Gavel Club in my youth laid incredible foundations for my communication, confidence and my ability to perform in front of scrutiny. Becuase of the quick thinking and cool demeanor that Gavel taught me I was able to make it to head student of my high school and regularly speak in front of hundreds of people, host events and represent the values of my school. Gavel was an integral part of that, and I wouldn't be where I am now without it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to invest in their skills.
